The performance of Indian Creak (IRE) which started joint favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Jack Channon could offer no further explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The winner Royal Parade (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Doncaster on 6 May 2023 where the gelding finished seventh of eight beaten by 8 lengths on ground described as soft.
Michael Appleby’s representative explained that the gelding appreciated the quicker ground, described as Good to Firm, Good in places and the straight course on this occasion, his explanation was noted.
Royal Parade (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Paddy Bradley reported that Epsom Faithfull (GB), placed third, hung left-handed and Pat Cosgrave reported that Mamillius (GB), unplaced, hung badly left-handed.
