We had him going to Ascot for the Britannia and then he got injured. Then he came back and he wasn't working well,. We knew that he was on a very good mark, but he wasn't working well. Ryan rode him to feel his way. He gave him a chance, they went fast and when he straightened up he took off. After he ran in Naas we were very happy and he went lame for a while, so we had to get him back and he wasn't working the same way he was. Obviously, he went asleep, but he was in off a good mark. He did very well to win and he gave him a great ride. They went fast up front. I thought seven around there, and he was drawn wide enough, that it was going to be tough.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Current Option, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. J. MacRedmond was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended C. J. MacRedmond for one raceday
D. Tudhope, rider of Bopedro (FR), trained by David O'Meara (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was denied a clear run. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.L. Moore, rider of Broadhurst, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had not used his whip with excessive force. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including photographic evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R. L. Moore was not in breach of Regulation 10 and they therefore took no further action. Mr. P. N. Reynolds recused himself from this enquiry
