Permission was given for Celsius (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Celsius (IRE), trained by Tom Clover, was late being submitted.
Clover was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Nomadic Empire (IRE), shifted slightly right intimidating Faustus (GB), placed third, who edged right giving a slight nudge to Newyorkstateofmind (GB), placed fourth, which in turn carried First Edition (IRE), placed second, marginally off it’s intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Nomadic Empire (IRE).
Following the race, Robert Cowell’s representative reported that Faustus (GB) was unsuited by the Good to Firm, Good in places going, finding it too quick and the Veterinary Officer reported that Celsius (IRE), unplaced, bled from the nose and had an irregular heartbeat.
