Permission was given for The Hare Rail (IRE) to go early to post, wearing a red hood and to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference approximately one furlong out, involving the winner, Beccali (IRE), ridden by Dougie Costello, Packetofbiscuits (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Luke Morris and Misty Sky (IRE), placed third, ridden by Aidan Keeley.
The Stewards found two pieces of interference; the first incident was found to be accidental as Packetofbiscuits (GB) and Misty Sky (IRE) had both drifted towards each other resulting in light contact.
In the second incident, Costello was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without timely or sufficient correction, resulting in the rider of Packetofbiscuits (GB) taking a significant check, which in turn, turned the quarters of Misty Sky (IRE).
