While he was more than entitled to win a maiden hurdle, it was still nice to see him go and do that. He should improve plenty from it and he also lost some ground when landing awkwardly at the second-last. Sam was happy with him and gave him a lovely ride. It is great for the owners who are great supporters of the yard and hopefully it is onwards and upwards with him. Ray Barron came back in after riding her the last day and was kicking himself as he felt he didn't go fast enough. She is a real tough stayer and I think she will get blacktype over hurdles. She is a decent filly and I made a mistake running her on quick ground at Cork two runs ago. Her mother was decent, won three or four races and got blacktype and it is nice to have another winner for Sean (O'Neill, owner) who is a great supporter of ours. He has a nice filly on his hands.
