It's interesting that connections drop him back in trip despite the fact that he has been doing his best work late on and he gets the vote. Did I Ask You That Showed plenty of ability in bumpers and made a nice start over hurdles when placed over 2m6f at Punchestown. The winner franked that form in a Grade 2 here on Thursday. Course bumper winner Shoot The Blues likes it soft and had two good hurdle runs over this trip early in the year. He's been off ten months but is likely to be primed.%0A%0A%0A%0A

John told me he was coming over so we tried to plot where we could run. He worked last week and I was very happy with him and I said to John I would be hoping for a real good run. Fortunately, it all worked out. The young fella that rode him is the up-and-coming Colin Keane. I don't tie them down to instructions, lads like that. His plan was to ride him two or three but they were going so fast he was last. That's what those good jockeys are for, so it worked out great. The whole thing is mapped around when John and his wife are home.

that was a pleasant surprise. He was fit enough to finish in the first three but has never been away anywhere and we haven't done a bit of work yet. He has done a couple of half-speeds but is a quality horse and is by a very good sire in Blue Bresil. He was ready for a run today and I said to John (Gleeson) to drop him out and let him pass horses. The way he hit the line you'd say he will end up being a staying horse. We bought him out of the Landrover sale as a three year old, he is five now and we gave him two years as he is a big horse and we gave him time to grow into himself. I'm not a huge fan of winners' bumpers are they are hard on horses but I'm not sure what to do with this lad as I think he'll improve. I'm don't know what quality the race was but it was a good performance and the first two pulled well clear.

She is a big galloping mare, travelled great and Jamie was brilliant on her and the 7lb claim was a big help. She is very consistent and a 'four-and-up' maiden suited her down to the ground because she was often being beaten by a three year old. Her mother was rated 90 on the flat and won over hurdles so she could go jumping but will have another run on the flat before the turf season is over. The lads bred her, raced her dam and haven't had a winner for seven years. They're over the moon, there were tears shed and we roared her home.
