A Girl Like Me was a winning spare for Kevin Sexton in the Galway Handicap Hurdle and gave the jockey a brace of winners in Ballybrit.
The 50/1 outsider had been off-track for 288 days but moved well to strike the front two out in this extended two mile five assignment.
A good jump there saw her go on rounding the home bend. She was good over the last as well and was ridden to win her race.
The seven-year-old mare forged on to hit the line five lengths up on Dancing Jeremy (20/1). The Tote Exacta paid €1558.20. Spancil Hill was the same distance away in third at 9/1 having been as big as 33/1 in the morning. Feyan came in fourth, beaten 16 lengths by the winner, and gave her each-way backers a dividend at 5/1.
Trainer Andrew Lee said: "I'm thrilled for the owners (Maria Hinfelaar and her husband Graham Upton) who are great people, have been with me a long time and it is unfortunate they couldn't be here.
"The plan for her (A Girl Like Me) is to mix between hurdles and fences and hopefully she can give us another day out please god."
Sexton also scored on Belfast Banter (5/2) in the auction maiden hurdle.
He replaced the injured Luke Dempsey on A Girl Like Me.
