Sevenleft won a thrilling finish to Dundalk's concluding seven furlong handicap to give Sheila Lavery and Gary Carroll a win on the card.
The handicapper put in some good work on this contest as the first four home were separated by a short head, a nose and a neck.
It was Big Time (7/4f) and Reckless Endeavour (7/1) who occupied the places.
Sheila Lavery said: "I’m delighted. It’s the first time all year he’s had his ground.
“He did have a bad run in the Curragh but his bloods came back very wrong and in Ascot he couldn’t handle the ground.
“Gary said he battled really well but was a bit ring rusty at the start. A mile is no problem as he’s relaxing in his races and is very rideable.
“It took him a couple of strides longer to hit top gear than Gary thought but he battled back. It was a bit scary.
“I don’t think there is anything more for him here so we’ll put him away and look at mile races next year.
“His brain is really maturing and I’m delighted with him.”
Sevenleft had a tongue tie on for the first time this evening.
