Conor O'Dwyer's horses couldn't be running any better and his Mohayyen displayed as much to win the first division of the Eva-Tec Ltd Handicap under Killian Leonard at Bellewstown.
The US-bred son of More Than Ready built on a fifth placing achieved on debut for the stable, seven weeks ago, to see off Indian Tomahawk by half a length.
Twelve to one chance Mohayeen was overcoming the 'bounce factor' as he hadn't run prior to his last outing, for two years.
O’Dwyer said: "He ran a cracker in Dundalk last time in a far better race. He loves that bit of ground and I'm sure there is another one of those in him somewhere along the line.
"He missed the break a little bit but I'd say half of it is that he's just not quick enough. I'd say a mile and two is absolutely ideal but when races aren't there you have to take what you get into.
"He wouldn't want it any worse than it is today so Dundalk is ideal and he has a good mark there."
Owner Khaled A Rahim is from Bahrain.
The Stewards received a report from Mr. W. Fleming , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that K.K. Hennessy , rider of Mr Soprano (GB) , weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had taken a drink after weighing out which may have accounted for the overweight on weighing-in.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him having taken his good previous record into consideration.
R. Coakley, rider of Volta Do Mar trained by Denis W. Cullen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked at the two furlong pole.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Its Harrys Girl trained by J.T.Gorman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had blood on the nose when pulling up.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Its Harrys Girl, trained by J.T.Gorman, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal have sustained an exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrage.
