Next Week came on from his recent Roscommon debut to run out a shock 33-1 winner of the KWD Recycling INH Flat Race at Killarney.
Fifth on his initial foray at the western venue earlier this month, the Andrew Slattery trained four-year-old stayed on strongly to get the better of favourite Polo Lounge inside the final furlong.
For such of the contest, it looked as if the Willie Mullins trained favourite had matters in hand but he didn't find as much as the winner once they settled down to do battle.
Adam Ryan, riding his first winner under rules said; "I've had two point to point winners and this is my first racecourse winner.
"I'm 18, from Killenaule in Tipperary and have been with the Slatterys since I started secondary school at weekends and am full-time with them now.
"The ground at Roscommon was too soft for him and they didn't go much of a gallop but we went a good gallop today. I'm delighted."
Brian Slattery added; "he is an improving horse and improved a lot from the first day. We were very happy with him.
"He ran very well in Roscommon and with natural progression we thought we'd be placed. To win was a little surprise but he had been working well at home and doing everything well.
"Joe Bolger is a new owner who has come to the yard a couple of months ago and I'm delighted to get him a winner on only his second runner for us."
