Glorious Galway took full advantage of Wrong Direction crashing out at the second-last to come home clear in the Earl of Harrington Memorial Maiden Hunter Chase at Limerick.
Wrong Direction had got on terms with Glorious Galway at the penultimate fence but crumpled on landing to wipe his chance out.
Glorious Galway was left over 10 lengths clear as he jumped the last and came home under Johnny Barry at 6/1 (from 8/1) to win for handler Declan McNamara.
Runner-up Summons To Court (14/1) got to within 11 lengths of the winner with 2/1 favourite Johnny Sue another three lengths back in third.
Paddy Quinn, part-owner from Newmarket-on-Fergus, said: “We all live around the border between Limerick and Clare. We bought him last March after he ran in a point-to-point in Clare.
"He was second in a hunter chase in Cork last month, and we thought he had an each-way chance today.
“There are six in the syndicate. Four of us are related through marriage and things and I never met the other two until today! The trainer got them involved and it’s been a mighty day.”
