Wexford stages a National Hunt card this evening and while Ascot Gold Cup hopeful Jessica Harrington will be attending the Royal meeting, with Gold Cup prospects on Thursday, she also sends out two of her jumping horses to the Irish venue.
Harrington, who runs Torcedor in the Gold Cup, gained some of her best racing days with Champion Chase hero Moscow Flyer and his 'replacement' Rebelion Boy competes in the opening Welcome To Wexford Racecourse Novice Hurdle, having won last time out at Tipperary.
Rebelion Boy is the first winning horse owner Brian Kearney has had since 'Moscow' and is one of a trio of winners last time out in the five-runner field.
Colin Bowe 's Regal D'argent was a 20-1 scorer at this venue recently, while Champion Chase winner Special Tiara's sister Special Diamond bids to maintain her unbeaten record having won on debut at Cork in April.
The most valuable event on the card is the €20,000 Flood Ironworks Handicap Chase and Special Diamond's trainer Henry de Bromhead is represented by last month's course and distance winner Mullinavat
The eight-year-old reverted to hurdles on his most recent start, when he finished second, and meets four other previous course winners in Marchese Marconi Lilly The Lioness Mr Picotee and Beautiful Ben
The Peter Fahey-trained Peregrine Run is an interesting runner in the Pro-Form Beginners Chase, having proven himself a smart hurdler in the past.
A winner at Cheltenham's Open meeting in November, he ran a promising race when second at Roscommon recently and can be expected to benefit considerably from that effort.
