After winning over the course and distance last month, Green Thirty Two followed up this evening as he took the Broderick's Electrical Handicap Hurdle under Robbie Dunne for Stephen Mahon.

The six-year-old son of Desert Style was beaten just half a length on his last start at Galway, and he was sent off the 7/2 favourite to get back to winning ways today.

Settled towards the rear, he made headway three out, hitting the front after the next.

He was ridden to assert before the last, and he kept on well on the run-in to score easily by five and a half lengths. Another Rebel finished second at 12/1 under Paddy Kennedy for Mick Winters, while Limpopo Tom was three lengths back in third under Keith Donoghue for Paul Flynn at 11/2.

Stephen Mahon joked afterwards: "He is as tough as me!"

He added: "When he ran at Galway I’m convinced that the ground beat him. He likes it here and he won pretty well, he jumps well and he seems to be improving."
