Dundalk Wed, 11th Dec, 2024  The Real Screamer The last day, unfortunately for Leigh Roche, he couldn't do the weight just because it was winter time - he can normally do it. He was going to be over and we didn't want to carry overweight. I wouldn't take away a winning partnership and he (Hayes) is a very good jockey. He is just very hard to get at times. I like trying to use jockeys that I can use on a regular basis. I'm not a bad judge - they normally turn out good jockeys! (Robert) Whearty was the last one, but Noel Meade has latched on there!. He might not come back here - he is just a bit immature. I'd love to give him a break, but it is up to the owner really. I think a break will mature his mind. I don't think he will have any problem with the turf. I think he was just immature last year. You can see him being a bit bold in the stalls there, he's a bit of a baby now. That is all it is.
