Giladah confirmed her liking for the venue when adding a second course win to her name in the Sadettin Atig Memorial Handicap at Leopardstown.
A winner over the course and distance on her penultimate start, the Dermot Weld trained filly kept on well to just hold the late thrust of Highland King
The 4-1f tracked the pace before being produced with a challenge early in the straight by jockey Chris Hayes. Quickly skipping a couple of lengths clear, she then gave her supporters some anxious moments strongly pressed by the Johnny Murtagh trained runner-up.
To her credit, she responded to Hayes and stuck on bravely to get the verdict by a neck.
“She's hardy and she's not afraid of a battle,” said Kris Weld.
“That's twice now she's won here over this distance so she obviously likes it.
“We'll look for something similar next time and hopefully she might be good enough for a premier handicap before the year is out.
“She has a good attitude and we're very happy with her. Her dam was very good so we're delighted to have her.”
