Feature This just prevailed in the Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Package Apprentice Handicap, providing her trainer Paul Flynn with his seventh success at the venue since November.
Having made the breakthrough over the course and distance in January, the four-year-old victor was second on her next two starts, finishing a close-up fourth on her most recent outing.
Sent off an 11/4 chance this evening (from 4s early), she raced mainly in fifth on the outer under Robert Whearty and was pushed along from early in the straight.
Ridden over a furlong from home, she soon hit top gear and stayed on strongly in the closing stages, getting up to prevail by a head.
Siobhan Rutledge and Double Martini were the ones just denied, with this John McConnell trained gelding returned a 12/1 chance.
There was a further three-parts of a length back to Boadicea Belle (12/1), who finished an eye-catching third under Jamie Powell.
"She jumped a bit slow the last day and it probably didn't work in her favour, I had to take my time," Whearty said of the Ian Brassil and Brian McInerney owned bay.
"Today, she jumped lovely and I had a lovely position the whole way around.
"She hit the line and is a filly that will get further in time, maybe on the turf.
"She's a consistent little filly and improving the whole time.
"Paul was filling me with confidence, as always!"
