The Eric McNamara trained Irish Bulletin recorded his seventh career success, as he took the sixth at Wexford, the Exclusive World Cup Price Enhancements On The Brand New Boylesports App Handicap Chase.
Successful in a maiden on the level at Wexford in 2013 when trained by Jim Bolger, the son of Invincible Spirit has since become a bit of Limerick specialist, winning four times at Greenmount Park.
Last successful in December of 2016, he was sent off at 8/1 this evening with Donal McInerney in the saddle.
Settled behind the leaders on the inner, he was pushed along to lead entering the straight, and kept on well under pressure from there to score by a length and a quarter. Carlitos Bay (8/1) finished second under Barry Geraghty for Peter Fahey, while He Knows My Name (16/1) was another three parts of a length back in third with Andrew Ring aboard this one for Keith Watson. Fergiethelegend was sent off the 13/2 favourite and he finished fourth.
McInerney said afterwards: "He has plenty of ability but he can be a bit of a rogue.
"He jumped brilliant. He had a slow jump at the top of the hill but I just kept at him, and when he started passing a few horses again, he started travelling again.
"I knew at the bend that I could sit up any longer so I just sent him on. He jumped well over the last two and stayed on well."
