He jumps well. He’s never the bravest but fiddles away. He won a Premier Handicap two runs ago and it was too quick the last day in the Curragh. He wouldn’t want it any softer than that over jumps. The Flat lads could call that soft. He’s a bit tricky like that with the ground. The lads are from Galway and want to go there but I’m not convinced that he should be going there up that hill. He was there last year and I think it’s a track that he doesn’t love. He likes these flat tracks and he could boss it today. Something more competitive might be hard for him.

He's a likeable oul horse and he's been running well all year. It was sticky the last day, and we dropped him further back then on purpose but it just didn't suit him. He doesn't want to be in front too soon so it's hard to ride him handy but you have to. If you drop him in further he might just lose interest, he's a bit of a monkey but he's a good oul monkey. He's got done in a few head-bobbers and I thought he was a big price today as he's only ran one bad race this year.

I don't really know much about him as I don't have him that long(ex James McAuley). He ran so many times at Dundalk but I felt he wanted a cut in the ground. The boys didn't want to run him because he had no form on that ground but I felt he was more comfortable on it. The boys want to go to Galway so we'll try and aim for that. I don't think that ground is essential for him but the seven furlongs is probably ideal on that sort of ground for him. He was beaten by a very well handicapped horse the last day. In fairness, he was flat out the last day on the quicker ground at Leopardstown and that might suit him too, being flat out and coming home. Hopefully he should win another anyway, it looked like he had a bit left at the end.

we probably ran him back a bit too quick after claiming him and I’d say he’s better with a couple of weeks gap between his races. He beat a horse of ours, Malaysian, the day we claimed him and that grade probably suits him. He’s done it well and seven (furlongs) was probably a bit short for him last time. We’ve got a win out of him and he’s in to be claimed for €15,000. If someone claims him off us we can’t moan as we’re regularly doing it. He’s a grand fun horse and will be kept busy up here.
