Philip Rothwell´s The God Of Love ran out the cosy half length winner of the Colm Foley Memorial, under a somewhat cheeky ride from Davy Russell. Thu 17th Jul
He jumped better at Limerick than he did today. He idled a bit there because they were going half-speed. He slipped into the butt of one fence but he is smart. I think he is a better chaser than hurdler, he has more respect for fences. I feel he has a big day in him with a fast pace and good ground. He might go to Galway for the two mile novice chase but I'll talk to Michael about it tomorrow.

The God Of Love needs a super fast gallop and will either go for the Galway Hurdle or a Novice Hurdle at Galway next.
