Reports in which Teqany (IRE) was mentioned
Black enjoys rub of the green with his 'lucky horse'
The six runner Sponsor At Tramore Rated Novice Chase at Tramore today was a dramatic contest with victory in the end going to the Tony Black trained fortunate winner Teqany. Thu 18th OctIncident aplenty as Teqany proves best in Thomastown
He's bred for the Flat but Teqany hurdles and stays well and Tony Black's charge won his second race since mid-August when just prevailing in the Thomastown Handicap Hurdle at Gowran. Sat 06th OctBlackmore happy to ride a winner for local owner
Less than a week back Davids Charm got the winners flowing again for Rachael Blackmore in a Flat maiden at Gowran and a good seven day spell continued for her in Downpatrick in the Killultagh Estates Rated Novice Hurdle on Sir Benford Wales. Fri 28th SepVerbal Dexterity back in action for Royal Whip
National Stakes-winning two-year-old Verbal Dexterity returns in the Group Three Manguard Plus Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh today. Sun 26th AugNo kidding Dooly has his horse right for home win
Teqany's win in race two aside, it had generally been a miserable session thus far for the layers at the first stage of the Tramore festival. Cantkidakidder (14/1) provided a little more respite in the O'Neill's Bar Handicap Hurdle under James O'Sullivan. Thu 16th AugBlack has Lartigue in mind for Teqany now
Grey horses filled the second, third and fourth positions in race two at Tramore but one of them landed the third on the programme with Teqany doing the job in good fashion in the Pat Halley Architects Maiden Hurdle. Thu 16th Aug
After race at Tramore Thu, 18th Oct, 2018 (1st)
what can you say, he was a lucky winner I suppose! When Moonball fell I thought we might win it and then Davy (Russell, on Monatomic) tipped up at the last. He is a lucky type of horse; the last day in Gowran a joint-favourite fell early, and then they had to bypass the last. They are there to be jumped though. We brought him here today because it's a handy track and the fences aren't that big, but Danny said he'd jump a big fence at a bigger track. It all depends on the ground. He was to go out on grass because he is very ground dependent but once the ground stays good, he will run away. Whenever it changes then he'll be off for the winter.

After race at Tramore Thu, 16th Aug, 2018 (1st)
Coming off the Flat we thought he'd be a bit free and he was. He handled it well and he probably wants to go the other way around really. He was lugging into the right with Danny. The nice bit of ground suited him. It was the plan (to make all) because he is keen. He jumps well. We have him since shortly after Christmas and we just gave him a bit of a break then. He is back in eight or ten weeks. He is a decent type of horse and we are thinking of Listowel now, he might go for the Lartigue. That's on the agenda but we'll see. I'm based just outside Bunclody. We have mainly point-to-pointers and we only have three or four for the track. We have twelve to fourteen to go point-to-pointing and they are all four-year-olds.
