Grey horses filled the second, third and fourth positions in race two at Tramore but one of them landed the third on the programme with Teqany doing the job in good fashion in the Pat Halley Architects Maiden Hurdle.

Rebellito's absence here opened up things, and Tony Black had his first track winner in over three years when Teqany prevailed by three lengths in the hands of Danny Mullins. Arctic Sofia (5s from 8s on track and bigger earlier) finished second.

Formerly with Owen Burrows and Ger Lyons the successful son of Dark Angel was making it a victorious stable debut for Black.

On the brother to Group Two winner Juliet Capulet Black said: "Coming off the Flat we thought he'd be a bit free and he was. He handled it well and he probably wants to go the other way around really. He was lugging into the right with Danny. The nice bit of ground suited him.

"It was the plan (to make all) because he is keen. He jumps well.

"We have him since shortly after Christmas and we just gave him a bit of a break then. He is back in eight or ten weeks. He is a decent type of horse and we are thinking of Listowel now, he might go for the Lartigue. That's on the agenda but we'll see.

"I'm based just outside Bunclody. We have mainly point-to-pointers and we only have three or four for the track. We have twelve to fourteen to go point-to-pointing and they are all four-year-olds."

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Seapoint trained by John Joseph Hanlon, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.
