Stack's filly battles on well for Hayes
The 5f 2-y-o maiden produced a good finish with the well-backed Sloane Peterson (3/1 fav, from 11/2 this morning) racing on the stands’ side just getting the better of the low-drawn Mooneista (7/2). Sat 08th Aug
After race at Cork Sat, 8th Aug, 2020 (1st)
She had to do it the hard way on her own, she is very honest and is probably better off going back up in trip again. The plan was to get her ready for the Ballyhane Stakes (worth €320,000 but which doesn't carry black-type status) on August 23 so if we didn't run here, there weren't too many options for her over six furlongs. She has a nice pedigree and it is good for Craig (Bernick, owner) who gave a nice few quid for her at the sales last year. Ultimately the plan is to get black-type and to be part of Craig's broodmare band but we might have a shot at the money first!
