That was good and I thought Ruby was very good on her,. She didn't help him much over the last two. She was probably just going a bit too fast for her. I'd imagine from now on we'll go way out in trip with her. Unless there was something at two-and-a-quarter but I'd be looking at two-and-a-half. To win a two mile hurdle was good. I think she'll jump a lot better when she goes out in trip. I'll just try and find the easiest race I can! I'd be looking for mares races or novice races, I doubt she'd come back here for the Grade 1. I'll just step her up the ladder quietly. The race in Cheltenham is two-mile one-furlong. I'd imagine I'll be trying to go out in trip with her all the time.

Down the back I was struggling, but the further I was going, the better I was going. When she hit the rising ground, she took off. She's as hard as nails. We had planned to run her at Sandown last Saturday, but the owner said we had black type from winning at Leopardstown and we should have a crack at the Champion Bumper. I actually thought she was an also-ran and I was right halfway down the back!. Katie said the further she was going, the better she was going. She couldn't keep up halfway down the back, but then her stamina kicked in and I'm delighted for Katie, who actually sold me the second horse as well.

We've no decision made although we have a better mare than we thought we had now. Colreevy (beaten favourite and third placed) pulled too hard and was too free - that's what Patrick said to me.

She's a nice staying mare. She's very laid back,. I might have another go at a bumper with her but I'll have a chat with the owner and maybe we'll go off jumping. I'm not sure what I want to do with her. It's grand to get her bumper out of the way. She gallops and stays and the fact that she's so laid back means she's going to get a much longer trip. It's a first win for a new owner, Paul McKeon.
