Mullins doubles up in the bumper
Wed 21st SepNo Risk for 2/9 backers
A couple of significant non-runners saw No Risk No Fun go off at 2/9 for the McSweeney Brothers Maiden Hurdle and the dual bumper winner made all under Paul Townend to win by ten lengths. Wed 21st SepNo Risk No Fun caps memorable week for Patrick Mullins
No Risk No Fun gave jockey Patrick Mullins a fourth winner of an unforgettable week when easily landing the concluding Fr. Breen Memorial INH Flat Race at Galway. Sun 31st JulLeading owner Walters has first winner for Mullins

After race at Listowel Wed, 21st Sep, 2022 (1st)
He was very good to jump and he did it the hard way, I suppose. He's a nice novice to look forward to for Dai Walters. Tipperary might come too soon and we'll find somewhere after that in about a month's time. If he keeps progressing he could be a Royal Bond horse. That would be the plan at the moment, if he keeps progressing, to go that direction. Paul wasn't going to hang around on him and he kept galloping the whole way to the line. I was wondering going to the second last if he was getting tired because I thought Paul was pushing him but then he seemed to open up then when he got into the straight. He appeared to have plenty in the tank and he's a nice horse to look forward to.

He’s a nice horse and could be a Graded horse. He does it nicely on the racetrack. The second horse stayed with him all the way up the straight. The winner just had too many gears for him but the second looks a real chaser in the making. The winner looks a hurdler rather than a chaser. We’ll look at whether we go for a third bumper or give him a little break and then go hurdling. It’s been a fantastic week. All my neighbours had plenty of winners as well as ourselves. Emmet and the Shark had a good week and there was a great spread of winners throughout the week. The win of Echoes In Rain in the Connacht Hotel Amateur Handicap would have to be the highlight and it was a race that Patrick long wanted to win. It’s great that the crowds are back and the craic and atmosphere is back in Galway.

he is above average for this time of the year and I think he is probably a black-type sort and I would have been disappointed if he didn't win today. I don't know what he will do next and he will win a winners bumper no problem. Maybe Willie will go to Galway with him, but he could put him away and make him a winter horse, we will see. He is not overly big and goes on that good ground but he could be a good winter horse. It's a good start (for Walters) and hopefully it will keep going that way.
