Kiltealy Park gets up for Flanagan and Nolan
Kiltealy Park (11/2) just touched off prominent-racer Blueu D'enfer by a short head in the beginners' chase at Clonmel. Tue 03rd DecIt's the weekend and Flanagan is on a winning streak again
What is it about Sean Flanagan on a Saturday? Well, a week on from a Cork treble Flanagan was excelling at the weekend again at Wexford today, doubling up on Garrett Power's Mahler Appeal in the T.C. Cullen Memorial Handicap Chase. Sat 18th May"Summer heavy" to Plain Or Battered's liking
Plain Or Battered made the most of his opportunity when getting a run from his spot as a reserve for the Support The Irish Injured Jockeys Handicap Hurdle at Wexford. Conor Owens' mount showed stamina in abundance to prevail in race five at Bettyville. Sat 18th MayKiltealy Park progressing nicely on home ground
Kiltealy Park followed up her Bettyville success from just over three weeks back in the Visit Wexford Mares Handicap Hurdle. Sat 18th MayNolan doubles up in bumper
There was plenty of chat about several runners ahead of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Flat Race and there must be every chance that the form of it will be worth following through the year. Thu 25th AprNolan & Flanagan on target at local track
Paul Nolan struck at his local track when Kiltealy Park (15/2), ridden by fellow 'Wexican' Sean Flanagan, landed the mares' maiden on her third start over hurdles. Thu 25th Apr
After race at Clonmel Tue, 3rd Dec, 2024 (1st)
Conditions suited, her 7lb mares' allowance put her in lovely and was deadly to jump, apart from fiddling one fence. She had been so well schooled for her point to points. Sean thought he'd finish second once the leader kicked on, but she hit the line well. She won her maiden hurdle, a handicap and I'd say the ground was a bit quick the last day she ran. We'll look to Christmas now and might step her up a little in trip.

After race at Wexford Thu, 25th Apr, 2024 (1st)
She was a bit unlucky in Punchestown first time out when she made a mistake at the third last. It didn't work out a fantastic race and she didn't handle the ground at Clonmel, she was beaten after a circuit,. Today the better ground suited and they seemed to go a nice gallop the whole way. We'll keep her in for the summer. Sean said she was leery enough and tried to throw it away at the second last and last, she didn't do herself any favours. She's a maiden hurdle winner now anyway and she's going the right way. She'll jump a fence in time, she was placed in a couple of point-to-points for Colin Bowe.
