we thought the ground was drying out a bit on her and would have been happier if it were softer but we had a bit of luck. She seems to be progressing the whole time. I’d say right-handed suits her better although she was unlucky two days in Navan. We’ll probably give her a bit of a break. We may go back for another hurdle race as she is only 94 over hurdles but with the ground drying out we might just leave her off now.

She's very well-bred. She is actually out of a mare, Layla Joan, who was rated over 140. The last time she ran over fences was in Tramore when Davy Russell won on her in a beginners' chase. We have been trying over hurdles and, in fairness, she was unlucky two days in Navan and then she went to Leopardstown and was just leaning right. We said we would go back right-handed and go back over fences and try and win a race. The training is going grand, we only have two horses to run, two point-to-pointers and after that it is all half-bred horses. We will have fun with her. She is consistent the whole time, she has won two (this season) and probably unlucky not to win another one.

After race at Tramore Tue, 6th Dec, 2022 (1st)
She ran last Thursday and ran well in a Listed chase. It was probably a bit soon coming back here but we had entered on Thursday morning prior to the Thurles run, just in case anything happened there,. She came out of that race grand and we said we'd come here. We could have gone for this or the handicap but we said we'd go for this instead. It looked an easier option for her. . It's brilliant to get Davy. We only have one horse in training so it's great to get him to ride her. Treacysenniscorthy done his knee the last time he ran at Leopardstown so he is finished now and is out in the field. . There is a 0-116 handicap hurdle at Leopardstown on the 28th of this month. We will probably try to freshen her up and go there. She is rated 93 over hurdles so she'd have a little squeak if she snuck into the bottom of that.

she has been consistent in that grade and was going to get her chance at some stage. I thought she mightn't like the ground but Darragh said she loved it. We'll look for something else at the same level. If she stays in that grade she has a chance but if she goes out of that grade she might struggle a bit.
