It is unusal for a horse of that age to improve to that extent. I though Conor rode him very well. There is no stopping the horse.

I don't know how I couldn't win with Hujaylea when he started off originally rated just 48! Today he won off 94 and is obviously improving . he had a little problem with his back, which we got treated and that must have been holding him back. I was worried about the drop back to seven furlongs but the ease in the ground and the strong pace helped. He got a dream run and Conor (Hoban, who partnered his first winner on the gelding in Novermber '09) gave him a great and very patient ride. He's a very very genuine horse but I've no plans from here . we may have to go for a Stakes race next!
M Halford
He had to sit and suffer but it suits him racing that way,. Conor did well. He got him out into a nice position and he travelled well. He loves to race that way. They went a good gallop and it was a better class of race. He's the model of consistency and I'm delighted with him. Conor gave him a good ride and I might have found another apprentice. He's making good progress. We didn't push him and he's starting to do things right.
M Halford
I was delighted to get the divide as the two horses love it around here,. I thought Hujaylea was a bit more exposed so I decided to claim off him with Conor. This fellow loves to be ridden that way - passing horses. Shane said he just clipped heels early and he had to take a hold of him. He just loves fast ground. He's in the habit of winning now, he's well-bred and could progress.
M Halford
I'm delighted for him, he's a very good rider and that'll be a boost for him to lose his 10lb,. The other two (Gary Carroll and Shane Foley) were going so well this season it was hard to get him going but he should do well next year. I'll be promoting him next year. The other lads are claiming 3lb now so his 7lb claim will be useful.
M Halford
'He's a young man going places and gave that horse a cool ride,'
M Halford
