Kenmare gives Halford apprentice double Michael Halford completed a double in the apprentice contests at Dundalk when Lord Kenmare swooped inside the final furlong in the second division. Shane Foley produced the gelding to lead inside the final 100 yards and score by a length-and-a-quarter from Little Bug. "I was delighted to get the divide as the two horses love it around here," said Halford. "I thought Hujaylea was a bit more exposed so I decided to claim off him with Conor. "This fellow loves to be ridden that way - passing horses. Shane said he just clipped heels early and he had to take a hold of him. "He just loves fast ground. He's in the habit of winning now, he's well-bred and could progress."
