It was a lovely race for him and even though it was right-handed I let him take his chance. Most of his wins were at Leopardstown or left-handed tracks. It’s a bit of a surprise but he’s been working well since his last run. He’s come down in the weights and Jack was good on him. Jack was with me five years ago as an apprentice and rode Fosters Cross at Dundalk. He’s come back to me this summer and is a different man altogether now. He said he’d do anything to have a crack at being a jockey. He’s put in a lot of work, I’ve given him his opportunity and it’s working out.

He lost third place in the last 50 yards at Thurles and I wasn’t that hopeful today for that reason but I had to run him because the race really suited him and he’s won four times here before. It’s his track so I couldn’t not run him. I’m thrilled with that and obviously he’s a lot better here. He could come back here for something on the Flat.

At the moment he may get in or he may not so a penalty for this would get him in. If he's well enough he might go. He's a fun horse but he was impressive today. He might go over fences in the summer. If Oscar Knight got into the Coral Cup he'd have a right chance but he won't get in.

He'll go to Galway now for a handicap now and I don't think he'll get anything (penalty) for winning that. His future is over fences and he'd want further than that (two miles) but we had to take our chance and it was his class that won it for him.
