No stopping McManus and Walsh A 1,2 in the featured Grade B Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle at Naas was the continuation of an excellent day for J P McManus as Mark Walsh brought up a treble at the County Kildare venue. McManus and Walsh combined for earlier victories with Red Jack (Noel Meade) and Early Doors (Joseph O'Brien). Meanwhile cross-channel Modus (Paul Nicholls and Sam Twiston-Davies at Wincanton) and Unowhatimeanharry (Harry Fry and Barry Geraghty at Aintree) were securing Grade 2 honours for the 'green and gold' camp. Well handicapped in this sphere relative to his chasing mark, the Tom Mullins-trained Oscar Knight secured a length and a half verdict over the staying on Glenloe. Gordon Elliott has care of Glenloe for Mr McManus, and the Cullentra House handler was also responsible for the third home, favourite, Diamond Cauchois.   Tom Mullins said afterwards: "He had a wind op since the (Irish) National, and the run in Punchestown brought him on nicely for today. "His hurdle mark looked favourable compared to his chase rating, and he could go for a big handicap chase around Christmas or the Thyestes. He will probably run over hurdles up to that." A. Ring, rider of Eight Till Late trained by Peter Casey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't pick up, made a respiratory noise and didn't appreciate today's going. P. Townend, rider of Grand Partner trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake four out, hung left and lost its action in the straight where he pulled up and dismounted. J.W. Kennedy, rider of Jack Dillinger trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was keen early and got very tired in the straight. (AM & EM)
