Helen Mooney got off the mark on the racecourse proper at Tramore in August and the 7Ib claimer grew even fonder of the south east by landing the concluding bumper at Wexford for her boss Dessie Hughes on Definite Class in the New Extension At Wexford Racecourse Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race. Sat 23rd Oct
she was expected to do that and has now won a bumper, hurdle, chase and now on the Flat - she is a fabulous mare. She'll stay over fences now for the summer and if the handicapper gives her a reasonable mark, she could do well in two miles chases.

She was entitled to win her Mares Beginners Chase although I didn't think she would win that far. She is a nice mare and is an Novice now for the season. She will be good over the summer and into the autumn.

She was entitled to win because she has been consistent,. She'll go for a winners' race next and has done alright to win two races already.

My horses are ready now and I'm happy with this one. We didn't think we'd win a bumper with her but her best chance was always going to be in one of these mares races. She had a run under her belt and she had form with a cut in the ground over hurdles one day in Naas. She'll go for a maiden hurdle now. Helen won on Swiftmarc before and she rides very well. She is more than alright for a 7Ib claimer.
