After race at Gowran Park Sat, 17th Sep, 2022 (1st)
My two were drawn 18 and 19. I kind of knew Heather Bear had no chance out there but this lad breaks bad so I said it would make no difference to him,. I thought an apprentice race would help him because they'd go too hard early. She got a golden highway up the inner. He probably wants a bit further, a strongly run mile-and-two or mile-and-three is probably his trip. I don't think he stays a mile-and-a-half as he can be a bit free early on. He's a good consistent horse, that's six races he has won now.

After race at Dundalk Fri, 28th Jan, 2022 (1st)
we're delighted. He's very consistent and all the lads have ridden winners on him, Andrew (Slattery junior), Ben and Jake (the Coen brothers) and now Cian so it's brilliant. We found that they were going a bit too slow for him in the 1m4f races, inevitably he misses the break everyday and they went hard today and the race suited him - he needs a strong pace. Cian gave him a lovely ride, that's only his ninth ride and that was a very good ride.

Jake was just 16 last week and has just got his licence. He rode a few pony race winners in the last few weeks.

He's probably got himself handicapped by missing the break,. I have to thank (the starter) Joe Banahan who suggested trying him with a hood. He jumped well the last time and jumped well tonight. He's a decent horse, he has thrown away some decent races by missing the break and has even won races after missing it. It made a big difference today as he jumped well and travelled. You get nights like this (a double) and nights that go the other way, you get more that go the other way.

After race at Killarney Wed, 21st Aug, 2019 (1st)
He lost his chance at the start at the Curragh the last day and nearly lost it again today but he does that. He is after throwing away so many races that way,. I'll step him up to 1m2f as well and I'd say he could go jumping eventually. Being by Dandy Man you wouldn't think it but he is tough and keeps going on soft ground. I don't see why not and we didn't jump him yet but he is a good athletic horse so I'd imagine he'd jump.
Andrew Slattery
After race at Fairyhouse Wed, 17th Jul, 2019 (1st)
He ran a lovely race in Limerick and we kind of fancied him coming here today,. He has a problem with the stalls, he missed the break again today but still won. He's probably a bit better than he's letting on. He'll go to Galway on the Monday night now for the three-year-old handicap. He should get in after winning that. That was always the plan. He'll come up the hill as he's tough. We just can't get him to break well enough. He probably should have won a maiden at Dundalk but he got left at the start several times during the winter and then we left him off. He had a lovely run in Limerick, when he needed the run, and we aimed for this race so it's worked out.
