Coko Beach is a great horse who is a bit of a boyo at home, is a character and we're lucky to have him. He's been knocking on the door in all those races so he deserved to win one. Jack (Kennedy, stable jockey) wanted to ride him but I wanted to claim and thank God I did - Danny is a great little rider and it's a valuable 5lb. I thought it was a good race to watch, it was helter-skelter, they went a good gallop and all horses seemed to be home safe. We'll probably head for a National with him and he could also go for the Thyestes. He has also schooled over cross-country and we won't rule that out either.

He’s a great horse and we’re lucky to have him. He’s been knocking on the door in all those races, so he deserved to win one,. Jack (Kennedy) actually kind of wanted to ride him, but I wanted to claim off him and thank God I did. Danny is a great little rider and it’s a valuable 5lb. I thought it was a good race to watch. It was helter-skelter the whole way, they went a good gallop and all horses seemed to be home safe. He’s a bit of a boyo at home, he’s just a character. He had a good run in Limerick the last day. In the past he hasn’t been that strong of a finisher, he’s often faded out from the last home. We’ll probably head for a National with him, the Paddy Power would be a bit quick. He probably likes soft ground. He could also go for the Thyestes. He has schooled over cross-country and we won’t rule that out either.

we said we'd ride Coko Beach a little more restrained today, just take our time more as we've been making a lot of use of him lately. I thought he ran a good race, he jumped well and he (Harvey) said when he got to the front he didn't do a stroke and gave the last a big jump. there's not much at Cheltenham for him and I'd imagine they'll (Coko Beach, Death Duty and Defi Bleu) all be heading towards the Nationals - English and Irish. The winner runs his race all the time and is a grand horse. He finished eighth in the National last year and was right there until the third last. Death Duty ran well, he (jockey Michael O'Sullivan) said he would have been bang there only for missing the fourth and third last. He's a good horse but he's not easy to train.

Jack (Kennedy) said he's better in a big field, with horses around him, where something can keep him travelling. I'd imagine we'll keep him at home and he might go for the Irish National.

We went a good gallop down to the first and steadied up after that. Normally in this race it’s an end to end gallop but we went a nice sensible gallop today. It was very easy and he jumped and travelled unbelievably well. I couldn't believe how well I was going after jumping the third last and he did it very well. He jumps very well so that is a massive help going in to your first handicap; if they can jump well it's half the battle. He has been struggling to get off the mark over fences and the blinkers made a massive difference today. It's a big race and one of the biggest handicaps of the year so it's great to win it. Gordon was busy enough as they are working a lot of the horses for next week at home. Gordon was sweet enough on him (Coko Beach) and Jack picked him. The blinkers obviously did the trick — he jumped great and travelled great and he was the winner from a long way out. I’d imagine he will be on the team for Cheltenham after that and I think the National Hunt Chase is the one Gordon has in mind. He’ll have a few easy days after this and we might have a look at the Irish National as well. Sean (Flanagan) was delighted with Run Wild Fred. He was never going to get to your man in front but he kept at it well. There should be a big day in him as well.

We knew he'd come on a good bit from it. They went very quick in front and set it up for him really,. If he rode him again he'd be holding on to him a bit longer, he nearly went to the front then too soon. The horse had a good blow, he's only four and he's a nice horse. He's grown a lot from last year and if you look at him he looks like a big chaser. I don't know where we'll go now with him. He'll win races.
