After race at Navan Sun, 10th Nov, 2019 (1st) 
. He looked fantastic in the parade ring beforehand and had a great coat on him. Myself and Willie had a bit of an argument about three weeks ago as he wanted to school him over fences and I was saying he should stay over hurdles. We won one argument with him which is unusual!. He ran very well in the spring in those staying hurdles but was always coming off a bad chasing preparation. Hopefully now with a full season over hurdles he can be competitive in the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham and Punchestown. He probably has the speed for the Hatton's Grace and maybe the Aintree Hurdle as well. All those options are open. He'll probably go for the Hatton's Grace now and then the three-mile hurdles in Leopardstown at Christmas. We'll probably leave the chasing alone now. He's much more comfortable jumping hurdles.

It didn't quite go to plan. The plan was to follow Ruby but he just jumped a bit high and to his left and lost his position but all credit to the horse to be able to come from where he did.

After race at Leopardstown Tue, 27th Dec, 2016 (1st)
It was a good run from the two of them. Bacardys twisted a shoe on the way to the track so we were worried if he would get to run at all. My lads had his foot in a bucket of ice all morning here at the track and then the blacksmith switched the shoe. He seemed okay but we were wondering when he went to jump on it would he feel it. I suppose the adrenaline kicked in and he seemed fine. Kolumbus ran a really good race also and the two of them probably prefer that better ground. They could both go out in trip. We’ll find another novice for Bacardys somewhere. I have no plans yet.
