FormscanBy Alan Magee - THE RAIN KING is a well-bred newcomer and any market support would add to confidence with Wayne Lordan booked to ride. The son of No Nay Never made 250,000 guineas as a yearling and hails from the family of Henrythenavigator. Masteroffoxhounds made a promising debut for Aidan O’Brien last May but has not been seen since dropped to six furlongs at the Curragh the following month. He’s joined Jessica Harrington this year and may appreciate the step up to a mile. The powerful Ballydoyle team are represented here by Paradiso, a full-brother to Churchill who should appreciate this better ground after fading into third at Leopardstown last autumn, and the equally well-bred Numen. Riding arrangements suggest Mr Wendell is the pick of Ger Lyons two newcomers, while Ebendi and Dundalk third Presgrave are others to note.
