FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MEMORIAL VERSE showed some encouragement on handicap debut three weeks ago and might turn form with winner Distillate and third-paced Bright Dick. Out of a Group 3 winner, the selection raced off the pace in that recent race and surrendered some ground by racing wide but finished reasonably well and might improve. Hardened-handicapper Distillate has held form since contesting nine Nurserys last year and won in a first-time tongue-tie recently, although is now 4lb higher. Bright Dick, bidding to get his stallion a first winner, is out of a half-sister to Group 1 winner Verbal Dexterity and has run well in two recent course handicaps. Fleetfootsoldier won under his capable South African rider eight days ago and should run well from just 2lb higher, but drops a furlong. Magnanimous Mehmus showed form last winter but hasn't run for 93 days while Havana Notion has thrice failed to justify favouritism in handicaps.
