Review wexford 21st Jun Peregrine Run was the star turn at Wexford on Wednesday evening and he continued his education over fences with a smooth success.Peter Fahey's charge, a Grade Two winner over hurdles last season, performed admirably on his chase bow at Roscommon when second behind Townshend and showed the benefit of that first outing over fences to win the Pro-Form Beginners Chase.The 11-8 favourite jumped well throughout under Roger Loughran and scored by two and a half lengths from Roconga.The front three in the market had it between them approaching the second last fence, but the seven-year-old showed his class and will surely go on to bigger and better things.Rachael Blackmore enjoyed a double on the night and got off the mark in the Oulart Maiden Hurdle aboard Sweet Home Chicago (4-1).Colin Bowe's eight-year-old was shaken up and ridden to lead before two out and he kept on well for a 16-length triumph at the expense of Chestnut Brave.Blackmore doubled up in the Vinegar Hill Handicap Hurdle, in which she gave Camlann (9-2) a smart ride.She sat handy, just off the pace, aboard the Shark Hanlon representative and had enough in reserve when they turned for home as he powered clear to score by a length and a quarter from Runyon Rattler.Action got underway at 6.00 in the Welcome To Wexford Racecourse Novice Hurdle and Morgan (6-4 favourite) stayed and jumped best to run out a ready two-and-a-quarter-length winner for Gordon Elliott and Bryan Cooper.Gigginstown House Stud and Cooper doubled up in the Flood Ironworks Handicap Chase, this time courtesy of the Henry de Bromhead-trained Archive (14-1), who was produced wide and late to deny Mullinavat.Roevin Star (15-2) was deserving of his success in the Boolavogue Handicap Chase for Eoin Doyle and Brian O'Connell.
