Review tipperary 5th Aug Inxile ran away with one of the hottest sprints seen in Ireland this year when he scorched to victory in the five-furlong Abergwaun Stakes at Tipperary.David Nicholls' six-year-old, supplementing gains at Naas and Cork (twice) already this season, was sharply away as usual under the trainer's son Adrian and grabbed the far rail in the Listed heat. There were plenty of challengers in behind entering the closing stages, but the 4-1 shot stretched clear to beat Move In Time by two lengths, with favourite Sole Power a disappointment as he never threatened. The other Listed race on the card, the Coolmore Hurricane Run Stakes, was won by Ken Condon's Strait Of Zanzibar, who came from last to first down the outside to beat long-time leader Battle Of Saratoga by three-quarters of a length. While Shane Foley was getting a fine tune out of the 9-2 shot, the runner-up's stablemate East Meets West was all dressed up with nowhere to go and finished full of running in third place.Jim Bolger's juvenile An Ghalanta had found one too good in four of her previous five starts, including behind Goodwood winner Requinto over course and distance, and made no mistake in the Ballykisteen Hotel & Golf Centre Maiden.Kevin Manning wasn't hanging about on the evens favourite and soon had her leading the way down the centre of the track, and nothing could get near as she scooted clear to win by three and a half lengths.Brendan Duke's Roicead (9-2) has been in fine form this season and notched a second victory as Willie Supple drove him clear in the final furlong to score by two lengths despite drifting left in the Dan Dooley Ford Centre Handicap.Wayne Lordan led all the way on Quaintly (4-1) in the McGrath Oil Handicap and David Wachman's three-year-old pinched a lead and ran on too strongly down the straight for Lady Bennett, who finished a length adrift.
