< Soul Searcher (14-1) made a successful start to her Irish career in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Connacht Oaks Fillies Handicap.

Little more than a length separated the quartet as they flashed past the two-furlong pole, but Pat Smullen looked happiest on Dermot Weld's 7-4 favourite, who put a big gap between herself and the other three, crossing the line with 11 lengths to spare over My Brother < Jeremys Joy defied top weight to register a comprehensive success in the Glasshouse Hotel Handicap.
The 9-1 shot was never a factor at the Galway Festival last week but made a sweeping move around the outside of the field with two furlongs to travel here and strode down the straight to account for Miss Ballygally by seven lengths.

Fellow veteran Bubbly Bellini went in pursuit of the 7-2 favourite straightening up, but An Saighdiur wasn't for catching and came home four and a half lengths to the good.< Duck Egg Blue (13-2) left it late but eventually got on top in the Ladies Day At Sligo 4th August Nursery Handicap, collaring long-time leader Gifted Lady in the shadows of the post.
