< Soul Searcher (14-1) made a successful start to her Irish career in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Connacht Oaks Fillies Handicap.
Once with Charlie Hills before a switch to France, the daughter of Motivator is now under the watchful eye of Johnny Murtagh, who brought her to Sligo at fever pitch.< Ringside Humour loves a battle and loomed up menacingly but Soul Searcher really stuck her neck out and got the verdict by a couple of lengths.< Sea Swift made it two wins from three career starts by running away with the Students Day 28th September Race.
Little more than a length separated the quartet as they flashed past the two-furlong pole, but Pat Smullen looked happiest on Dermot Weld's 7-4 favourite, who put a big gap between herself and the other three, crossing the line with 11 lengths to spare over My Brother < Jeremys Joy defied top weight to register a comprehensive success in the Glasshouse Hotel Handicap.
The 9-1 shot was never a factor at the Galway Festival last week but made a sweeping move around the outside of the field with two furlongs to travel here and strode down the straight to account for Miss Ballygally by seven lengths.
Jose Echegary (11-4) continued the good run of Andy Slattery by breaking his duck at the third attempt with a three-length defeat of Ontheiflist in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden.
Slattery and jockey Declan McDonogh followed up when An Saighdiur led his rivals a merry dance in the Darcy Contract Cleaning Services Rated Race.
Fellow veteran Bubbly Bellini went in pursuit of the 7-2 favourite straightening up, but An Saighdiur wasn't for catching and came home four and a half lengths to the good.< Duck Egg Blue (13-2) left it late but eventually got on top in the Ladies Day At Sligo 4th August Nursery Handicap, collaring long-time leader Gifted Lady in the shadows of the post.
