Persian Bliss got his career back on track when recording a timely second course win in the Friday Nights At Dundalk Rated Race as he heads to the sales ring next week.
The son of Advertise made a successful debut here in October but was a bit disappointing on two subsequent starts including when stepping up to two miles last time.
A break of two months and drop back to a mile and a half proved just the trick here for the Adrian Murray-trained 9/4 joint favourite.
Wayne Lordan ’s mount set the pace and after being joined by Golden Temple over a furlong out, rallied well inside the final 150 yards to beat that rival by a neck.
Ryan McElligott, representing winning owners AMO Racing, said: "He's a lovely, fun horse. He has a good attitude.
"He won his maiden here, got a little break after the last run, and came back well.
"Adrian was very happy with him and he goes to the sales in Goffs on Tuesday. He will make a lovely dual-purpose horse.
"He seemed happy over that trip kind of controlling the race."
McElligott also gave his reflections on two placed horses earlier on the card adding, "Elegant Madame was kind of under pressure sooner than a lot of them, but stuck at it really well. I think she could be covered as well shortly, there's that route for her."
"Umala in the maiden ran a nice race, so a good evening."
