First past the post in a Punchestown bumper in June only to lose the race in the stewards' room, the 4/7 favourite I Will Be Baie gained recompense with the minimum of fuss in the concluding Guinness Time INH Flat Race.
Having led until just before halfway, the Crillon gelding sat second from that point behind Sea Music until heading that rival early in the straight. He was ridden out by Patrick Mullins to beat Don'tstopthemusic by two-and-a-half lengths with a further three lengths back to Sea Music in third.
After the Galway Hurdle victory of Zarak The Brave and odds-on Hercule Du Seuil in the Grade 3 novice chase, the final race winner was completing a treble for Willie Mullins.
Mullins said: "It was nice compensation after being disqualified the last time and he might go hurdling now rather than go for a winners' bumper. He has won a point to point for Colin Bowe and he looks a staying type. He could be a nice staying novice hurdler."
