Miss Fourie became the third winner on the evening to make just about all the running when keeping on under Sean Flanagan to gain her first success in the Bar One Racing Guaranteed Multiples All Shops Mares Maiden Hurdle at Bellewstown.
Having just her second run for trainer Peter Fahey, the six-year-old, formerly in the care of Gavin Cromwell, was sent straight into the lead by Flanagan and was never headed.
Those that took the 6/5 about the favourite faced a few anxious moments from the second last flight as Jumping Susie threw down a strong challenge but with the rail to guide her after the final flight the Fahey trained mare was always holding the John McConnell trained runner-up.
Peter Fahey said: "She had a lovely run in Wexford and she came on a bit from it.
"It is great she got that out of the way and more than likely she will head on to Galway now for something.
"She loves the quick ground and, in fairness, it was probably a help that Willie's (Mullins, Tina Meehan) came out of it. I was smiling then!
"It is great to get a winner for the owners coming into the yard.
"We will have a few going to Galway - I suppose anything that runs well between now and the next few days will be lined up for Galway. We had a great Galway last year with four winners and it would be great to be going back with a few that have chances."
