After winning the third with Cartwright Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy doubled-up with Sunsetstorise in the Toals.com Bookmakers Daily Online Specials Handicap Chase.

Previously trained by Fran Flood, and making his debut for Elliott this afternoon, the successful son of Millenary was last seen winning this very contest twelve months ago.

Available at 11/4 in early shows, the ten-year-old gelding opened on-course at 11/8 before eventually going off the even money favourite.

Settled in second by Kennedy, the bay victor jumped to the front two out and soon went clear, keeping on strongly on the run-in to score by six and a half lengths. Flemenstorm (12/1) plugged on to take second under Phillip Enright for Eddie Cawley, while Shrewdoperator (20/1) was half a length back in third with Adam Short aboard for Philip Rothwell.

Elliott said afterwards: "It wasn't the strongest race in the world but he's done it nicely. I've had him since the May sales last year (bought for 7,500 pounds) but he's had a few problems. He wasn't that easy to train but he's won today and it's great.

"He'll keep going while the ground the soft. He could go back over hurdles as well and we can step him up in trip."

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Stewards received a report from Mr. H.T. Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S.W. Flanagan, rider of All The Chimneys weighed in at 1.1lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, suspended him for 2 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fairly Legal trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
