Don't Touch It best in top event at Listowel Unfortunately Alisier D'irlande had to be pulled up injured after the fence away from the stands but the Southampton Goodwill Plate Chase served up an exciting conclusion with Don't Touch It edging out Listen Dear at Listowel. That great old warrior Carlingford Lough wasn't matching the front pair when coming down at the second last, and Mark Walsh eventually got the Jessica Harrington-trained Don't Touch It there at the line to beat Listen Dear by a head. Former Grade One winning novice hurdler Don't Touch It is owned by J P McManus and his racing manager Frank Berry said: "He got there a bit early in Ballinrobe but he made amends today and battled well. He jumped well and did it well. He looked like he got the trip well and he seems to be handling the slower ground well.  "It will give him plenty options for the winter and he loves the jumping. "The old horse (Carlingford Lough) is ok and that's the main thing; he was actually running a blinder. He has that bit of class and hopefully we will find something for the winter for him as he is after dropping down a bit (in the ratings)." (TW & EM)
