The Pat Shanahan trained Dancing Cosmos bounced back to winning ways at Dundalk this evening when winning the Crowne Plaza Hotel Of Dundalk Rated Race for jockey Wayne Lordan.
The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor had recorded two wins at Wolverhampton in the autumn prior to being beaten on her latest two starts and after today's win, Shanahan said “after Wolverhampton she ran terrible so we gave her a break.
“She likes to be fresh and we'll give her a break now and see what there is for her in the new year. Ground doesn't bother her once its now heavy.”
Lordan later received a one day suspension for misuse of the whip.
