Donagh Meyler earned praise from trainer Arthur Moore after completing a Limerick double aboard At Your Ease (11/2 into 4/1) in the Greenmount Park Beginners Chase.
There was drama here with well-backed favourite Eviscerating (9/4 into 6/4 favourite) edging right before two out and The Church Gate (7/2 2nd market choice) being forced out at the same point.
This left the way clear for At Your Ease (11/2 into 4/1) to take the spoils for Moore and Meyler. He beat Three Kings by a length and three parts.
"If ever a horse was ridden to the letter, he was! The mistake at the first didn't do any harm as if he winged it he might have been too free so it helped him get switched off. Donagh gave him a beautiful ride," said Moore on the J P McManus-owned winner.
"He has ability but wouldn't want to be in front for too long. That will give him confidence and I don't know whether he'll keep going for the summer - probably not but he might get one more run in a handicap."
Meyler had earlier triumphed on the Karl Thornton-trained Shanroe Al C (20/1 into 16/1) in the second split of the 80 to 95 handicap hurdle.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference approaching the second last fence involving Eviscerating, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed third and The Church Gate, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, ran out, where it appeared The Church Gate ran short of room on the inside. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Rachael Blackmore was in breach of Rule 214, in that she had ridden improperly. Having taking her previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Rachael Blackmore for 3 racedays.
