A much more positive approach today paid off for us and the horse loves jumping. I thought it was a tremendous performance and he galloped all the way to the line. The Stewards interviewed John C. McConnell, trainer of Mats Hall, in relation to the late arrival of his charge to the racecourse which subsequently led to the withdrawal of the animal. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that he had transport difficulties on his way to the races and had no option but to wait for road side assistance which took some time despite his best efforts. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered on this occasion. Mr. Anthony Byrne, Acting Steward absented himself from this enquiry.
