An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference on the run to line when Kenstone (FR), placed third, ridden by Finley Marsh interfered with Ballybaymoonshiner (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck.

Having heard the evidence, the Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Kenstone (FR) as it was always holding its position to finish third with the distance between the two horses being ¾ of a length.

Marsh was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed towards the rail without correction, resulting in Ballybaymoonshiner (FR) being short of room on the rails with Clutterbuck having to check for a couple of strides.

Approaching the 5 furlong marker, a free running No Such Luck (IRE), unplaced, had to take off heels, resulting in Toddays The Day (GB), unplaced, also having to take off heels giving the winner, Recuerdame (USA) a bump.

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Joshua Bryan, the rider of Dutugamunu (IRE), placed fifth, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip without time to respond inside the final furlong.

The raceday privilege request in relation to Ower Starlight (GB) to wear a red hood to post, trained by Richard Hannon was not submitted.

Mr Hannon was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.

Following the race Joshua Bryan reported that Dutugamunu (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run; Finley Marsh reported that Kenstone (FR), placed third, hung left-handed and Rhiain Ingram reported that No Such Luck (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
