Cape Gentleman proved a shrewd purchase by connections, as he landed the Paddy Power Irish Cesarewitch on just his second in Ireland.
Sun 11th Oct
The featured Connacht Hotel (Q.R.) Handicap saw Princess Zoe (7/1) pick up well from off the pace to win under Finny Maguire.

The money came for Run For Mary on course (10/3 into 9/4 fav) and her supporters were on good terms with themselves as she moved up travelling strongly to lead two furlongs out in the concluding Horse & Jockey maiden over two miles.
Thu 10th Oct
After her fine second in the Ascot Stakes on her previous outing, Buildmeupbuttercup (1/2 fav) looked to have the Play The Tote Trifecta (Q.R.) Maiden at her mercy, and so it proved as she was pretty much a steering job for winning rider Patrick Mullins.
Wed 31st Jul
Monty’s Miracle was an all the way winner of the 1m 6f maiden at Killarney at odds of 14/1, proving too strong for the market leaders Run For Mary (11/4) and Gardens Of Babylon (4/6 fav). The step-up in trip seemed to bring out the best in the Shamardal filly, who is related to smart stayers including Naughty Or Nice and Dark Crusader, and she came forward a good deal from her Bellewstown third-placed finish to score by two lengths and three quarter of a length.
Fri 19th Jul
Tritonix emerged the right side of a photo finish at Bellewstown this evening when getting off the mark on the Flat in the Conachy's Dunleer Seat Maiden.

Fri 21st Jun
Run For Mary maintained her unbeaten record in the Host Your Event At Punchestown Mares Maiden Hurdle, but it was by no means straightforward for the market leader.
Wed 15th May
Kildorrery dislikes a long trip to the races — so he may take advantage of a local jaunt to tackle the two-mile Punchestown Race And Dine Handicap Steeplechase.
Wed 15th May
Run For Mary made it two from two in the last at Down Royal, as she ran out a good winner of the Tayto Group Ltd. Mares Flat Race.
Fri 31st Aug
Newcomer Run For Mary came from last to first to take the bumper at Limerick, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Flat Race.

Cathal was in Down Royal and was a small bit unlucky to get beaten in a three-way photo (with One For Joe) but this is a great start for him. She doesn't really like jumping and the amateur handicap at Galway will probably be the target - you'll have to talk to the boss but she might go somewhere before then. There are a good few horses ready to run at the moment and Cathal is the man now. Cathal is 26 and is training them now but there is nothing definite (regarding who holds the licence after September). Philip is a also great help as well and is doing well.

She deserved that off her handicap mark and getting the mares' allowance, . On ratings she looked to have a big chance and she is a grand one for the staying handicaps next year. She won't go back hurdling as she didn't take to it and I'd say she'll get a break now.

She jumped very big but she'll come on plenty for it, although she will need to. She jumped the first few okay but then lost her way a bit. She had been schooling alright at home but hadn't been away at all. She will go for some mares' races, and should get further. She finds plenty and was the same in bumpers.

I'm delighted for the owners, the Solwhit connections. It's great to get back again with them. She's improving away, she learned a lot from Limerick. She travelled much better today, she knew what racing was about today. She quickened well and I thought it was a good performance. They went a good, honest gallop and I thought she won it well. She had to come around them as well. She had a nice bit to do four furlongs out. She'll probably jump a hurdle I'd say. She obviously wants good ground so if the ground stays good she'll run away. She could get black type at some stage.

It was a good performance and I had her mother too. She is a nice mare and had been working nicely and we'll go for a winners' bumper next. She runs in the famous Solwhit colours and we bought Run For Mary's dam and Solwhit out of the same stable in Belgium and both were by Solon (stallion).
