He'd been away a few times and had done plenty. I was delighted with the way he jumped, and he's bred to stay. It's good to get him back on track,.

It's good to see him winning. I don't know what happened the last day. We could find nothing wrong the next day so we said that we'd run back straight away. He's fine at two miles on heavy ground for the moment, and two miles on that ground is like two and a half.

I'll be in Dundalk again on Wednesday and after that I might ride over jumps whenever we have a few runners. I will be back riding again on the Flat. it was very kind of Mrs Magnier to send me this horse after Charlie Swan finished training and I'm delighted to have him. He is a big raw horse who should improve in every aspect and showed great courage to get back to dead-heat. Nina gave him a fantastic ride but that was very very testing ground and it'll take him three or four weeks to get over it so I'm not sure when he will run next.

it's sad but it's great he's (Rogue Trader) won as we've always thought a lot of him. I have no regrets and I've enjoyed it. It's not an easy game and with the way things are if you don't have the numbers it's not really viable. I'll probably have two more runners, Drumlee on Thursday and a filly on the Flat at Dundalk on Friday.

We always thought he was a nice horse but he had a few little niggly problems,. He looks more like a chaser than a hurdler but he'll go for a maiden hurdle next. I don't think ground will matter to him. He's a very good mover and is clear in his wind. I'd say he wouldn't mind deep ground. He's a real staying type of horse. He'll probably have a couple of runs over hurdles before going chasing next year.
